Demand Transparency on Health Care vote

E-mail Print PDF

Nancy Pelosi insisted that her congress would be the most ethical and the most transparent of any congress in our nation's history.  We don't need to list all the transgressions, scandals and Pelosi's passes here, for with all the back room deals on health care reform we hear about it would take up too much space.  But we should demand that our representatives in the House live up to Pelosi's standards.  Let's force transparency upon them.

It's no longer enough to call, phone, or fax our opinions to our representatives and demand they vote against Obama's health care reform bill or we will vote them out of office.  They already know their vote for ObamaCare will cost them their seat.  So when we call the congressional offices in Washington, we are asking the wrong questions.  "Will you vote with the people on this one?"  That's totally wrong.

The correct question to ask is: "What deal did Obama offer you?"  What is so valuable that you gave up your precious congressional seat for?  A position in the Obama Administration?  Did he promise you the ambassadorship of Portugal?  A multimillion dollar post at a top lobbying firm?  Obama appoint your brother to a judgeship on the Tenth Circuit Court?  How did they pay you off?  What did they promise you?  At what price did you sell our voice out?  If you're still holding out, then what are they offering you?  What carrot are they dangling in front of your face?

Rhodes News is going to start documenting the deals and the payoffs, the deals, the corruption, and the Chicago-style threats that Obama and Rahm Emanuel place on our representatives.  So you may refer back here and challenge the staff members when you speak to them over the phone.

The big drama inside the Beltway this week is the big bipartisan meeting Republicans will have with President Obama. Anyone who keeps their ear to the ground on Washington politics can already see how it will play out.  Does anyone serious believe either side will be listening to the other?

A Strategy for Senate Republicans: How to Kill ObamaCare This Session

E-mail Print PDF

Mitch_McConnelAfter the House Democrat leadership locked down the Congress, strong-armed, and bribed with tax dollars enough votes to pass their version of ObamaCare, the attempted government takeover of one-sixth of the nation's economy is now up for debate in the U.S. Senate, starting today.
Naturally, right-minded Republicans and conservatives will attempt to stop “health-scare deform” bill with a filibuster. But I have a better idea for Senate Republicans. A filibuster only serves as a delaying tactic, and the Democrats, hell bent on ramming this through, will just keep bringing it back to the Senate floor. The GOP caucus can, and needs to kill this legislation in an up-and-down vote, and here's how they can do it.

Think the Health Care Reform Bill is Dangerous? Just Try READING it.

E-mail Print PDF

The Health Care Reform bill currently in consideration by the House of Representatives and the Senate is growing larger with every amendment.  Our staff sat down together to try to make some sense out of it.  But reading it showed to be even more dangerous than the legislation itself.

Talking Points Against the Congressional Health Care Bill

E-mail Print PDF

When you call Congress to voice your opposition to the Heath Care Reform bill, be armed with solid information.   The opposition is characterizing us as "loons," unable to muster a single cogent argument against the debacle other than "government-funded abortions," or "death panels."
