In commemoration of President Obama's 366th day in office, American Patriots are protesting by protesting in strike on January 20th, 2010. Hundreds of thousands of American Citizens are voicing their disgust over the unprecedented actions the Obama Administration has taken to entrench the centralized power of the Federal Government. These include astronomical borrowing for an $800 billion stimulus package that has demonstrated no help to the nearly 20 million unemployed in this country; quadrupling of the deficit in Obama's first seven months in office, broken campaign promises that Obama would not raise taxes on the middle class earning less than $250,000 a year, broken campaign promises of "transparency," and "a new way of doing business in Washington;" and a nearly 3,000 page law of what many voters fear could be a potentially catastrophic overhaul of the nation's health care industry, passed by votes strictly on Democrat party lines, rushed through Congress before Christmas break.
The effort is spearheaded by Ken Cook and Allen Hardage, who created the website strike120.ning.com. "We just got on the blogs and started talking it up," said Cook, the organization's blogmaster. "We're generating a lot of interest."
Since this is a nationwide strike, Cook and Hardage are asking for volunteers from each of the 50 states to help with planning and coordination.
