A conflict of visions over health care

In the aftermath of the health care reform summit, it is obvious the two sides are at an impasse, and differences across the isle will never be resolved.  Essentially congressional Republicans said, "Let's just pass what we can all agree upon."  The Democrats claim, "We cannot take an incremental approach.  All the problems are integrated. We have to do everything all at once."

Hate the Rich? You'll Loathe the Health Care Plan

Those big evil insurance companies.   President Obama has pulled off a brilliant coup.  He has demonized the insurance companies in public while cutting a back room deal.

The health care plan mandates that everyone must purchase insurance.  A $4 billion tax (excuse me, 'fee') on the entire Insurance industry?  We'll gladly pay it!  We're getting a huge market of young, healthy people who don't need insurance and they will be subsidizing the premiums for the elderly (who tend to be the richest among us).

What does "Medicaid estate Planning" mean?  The rich are hiding their assets to become eligible for Medicaid.  Appalling, right?
